On 04/27/2017 at approximately 1930 hours Officers made contact with Chizmar on Morgan Street. Chizmar was arrested for an active warrant without issue. 

Chizmar was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. After processing, Michael was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $2500.00 cash or surety bail.

Defendant:  Angel Hammerle, 30,  Charlestown, NH
Springfield Police were dispatched to 25 Union St. for a report of suspicious activity. Upon investigation Angel Hammerle was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit to answer to the alleged charges of possession of heroin and possession of bath salts.
Hammerle subsequently failed to appear for arraignment on this date and an active warrant has been issued for her arrest.

On 4/11/17 officers responded to Missing Link Rd. to investigate the report of an active domestic assault taking place. After an investigation Steven Pariseau was arrested for the alleged offense of Domestic Assault.
Pariseau was arraigned on April 11th in Windsor County Criminal Court on the alleged charge.

Officers were dispatched to Joe's Discount Beverage for a reported theft of alcohol. Investigation revealed that Sarah King had entered the store and allegedly took a bottle of vodka and allegedly concealed it and left the store allegedly without paying for it.  King was cited into Windsor County Criminal Court on May 23rd to answer to the alleged charge.

On 04/21/2017 at approximately 1850 hours Officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the old Jasinski's Market on Park St.

Edwards was allegedly the operator of the vehicle. Jeremy was placed under arrest for operating with a criminally suspended driver's license.

Edwards was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing and was issued a citation to appear for the alleged Criminal DLS in Windsor County Criminal Court on June 16th.

On 04/21/2017 at approximately 1850 hours Officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the old Jasinski's Market on Park St. 
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and the occupants and Drew Hatt was allegedly found to be in possession of Heroin. Hatt was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. Hatt was issued a citation to appear on June 13th in Windsor County Criminal Court for the alleged Possession of Heroin.

Complainant came to Springfield Police reporting someone stole $40.00 from her wallet while at work. Subject works at the Springfield McDonald's. Investigation found that security cameras had captured the event, which occurred the day prior on 04-21-17. Robinson was located on 4-22-17 when he arrived for work at McDonalds. He was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on June 13th to answer to the allegation of Petit Larceny.

On April 20th at approximately 4:06 p.m., Springfield Police located Glenna Leigh O'Connell, who allegedly had an extraditable warrant for her arrest out of the State of Massachusetts. 

O'Connell is allegedly wanted for a probation violation. 

O'Connell was arrested without incident for this offense. O'Connell will appear in the Windsor Superior Court: Criminal Division on 04/21/2017 to answer to this charge. O'Connell was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $5,000.

Yesterday Officer Cory Santagate went to Pine Street Preschool to talk to the class about being a police officer and what his job entails.
He showed them all his tools on his belt, talked about why he uses them, and how he stays safe along with keeping others safe.   He showed the kids his police car and all the amazing things inside.

On March 28, 2017 a victim called to report an altercation with Brown.  It was alleged that Brown was pushing the victim around and threatening them with bodily harm causing minor injuries.  

Brown was taken into custody and cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on March 29th to answer to the alleged charges.

The clerk at the North Springfield Irving advised that Nourse allegedly failed to pay for food items and had then left the store.

Nourse was cited into Windsor County Criminal Court on May 30th to answer to the alleged charge.

Dog hit by a car - Request for Information

On March 21, 2017, the Springfield Police Department responded to a report of a family dog being injured in the driveway of the home on Fairground Road in Springfield.

The incident happened at about 1:30 PM. It is believed that the dog may have been struck by a car, which then left the area.

It is unknown if this was intentional or accidental, or if the operator of the vehicle was aware of the incident. The dog is currently recovering from severe injuries.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 04/06/2017 at approximately 1745 hours Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Clinton Street by the Penguin Mart. A search of the vehicle was conducted and the operator, Yana Belova, was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected heroin and cocaine. 

Yana was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing and was issued a citation for Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Heroin to appear on May 30 at Windsor Count Criminal Court

On March 8, 2017 Springfield High School reported an assault which had just occurred in front the high school. Investigation found that several male youths from the Claremont, NH area had come to Springfield High School. 
One of these youths then confronted and assaulted a Springfield High School student in front of the school. 
As a result of the investigation this youth was issued a juvenile citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Family Division, Windsor Unit to answer to the allegation of Disorderly Conduct (for engaging in violent, tumultuous, fighting behavior) and Simple Assault.

On March 05, 2017 the Springfield Police received a complaint of a theft of paintings. Investigation revealed where the paintings were located and they were subsequently turned over to the police by the purchaser. Matteson was allegedly identified as the offender and he was cited for allegedly stealing the paintings.  
Matteson will appear on May 30th in Windsor County Criminal Court.

Officers were called to the intersection of Wall Street and Summer Street for a reported dispute involving several individuals. On arrival Officers dispersed the crowd. Two subjects who were still allegedly yelling back and forth at one another were later cited into court for disorderly conduct.


Robinson and Millard were both cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on may 26th to answer to the alleged Disorderly charge.

The victim reported that she had been notified by her bank that there were several checks being  cashed against her account. It was determined through video surveillance that Jacob Martinez  was the alleged  offender. Martinez allegedly had written checks to himself and from the victim's  account.  


Martinez was cited to appear in Windsor Criminal Court on May 16th to answer to the alleged  charges.
