On November
9, 2017 a BOL was issued for an alleged erratic operator on Interstate 91 Northbound. While checking the
area of Exit 7, a vehicle matching the description was located getting onto Interstate 91
Southbound.
The vehicle was allegedly crossing out of the travel lane, at one point traveling
down the breakdown lane of the interstate. The operator showed indicators of
being impaired and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Smith was processed, Cited into Windsor County Criminal Court for November 28th and released to a family member.
Springfield PD was assisted by the Vermont
State Police and a Vermont State Game Warden.
