Arrest - DUI - DLS

Investigating Officer:  Officer Prince
Date of Incident:  November 7, 2017
Defendant:  Tammy Sears, 44, Bellows Falls, Vermont
On 11/07/2017 at approximately 2119 hours Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Edgar May building. The operator of the vehicle allegedly attempted to switch seats with the passenger. The operator was identified as Tammy Sears. Sears was arrested for DUI and Criminal DLS and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. 
Sears was issued citations for DUI and Criminal DLS  and ordered to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on November 28th to answer to the alleged charges.

Date of Incident:  November 9, 2017
Defendant:  Lee M. Smith, 69, Suffield, CT
On November 9, 2017 a BOL was issued for an alleged erratic operator on Interstate 91 Northbound. While checking the area of Exit 7, a vehicle matching the description was located getting onto Interstate 91 Southbound. 
The vehicle was allegedly crossing out of the travel lane, at one point traveling down the breakdown lane of the interstate. The operator showed indicators of being impaired and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Smith was processed, Cited into Windsor County Criminal Court for November 28th  and released to a family member. 
Springfield PD was assisted by the Vermont State Police and a Vermont State Game Warden.




Arrest - DUI

Date of Incident:  November 10, 2017
Defendant: Donald Whitney, 95, Springfield, VT
On the evening of November 10, 2017 a witness alleged that a vehicle had driven over a curb and nearly hit a guard rail and then pulled into a garage. Officers responded to the residence in question and after investigating determined who the operator was. 
The subject was taken into custody and issued a citation for Windsor County Criminal Court on November 28th for allegedly being impaired while driving.

Arrest - Possession of Heroin

Date of Incident:  November 11, 2017
Defendant:  Christine Carvage, 51, Springfield, VT
On the evening of November 11, 2017 It is alleged that an encounter ensued between Christine Carvage and Acting Sergeant Moriglioni when Carvage was allegedly leaving a known drug house. 
Carvage was arrested for allegedly having a misdemeanor amount of heroin on her person and cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on January 9, 2018.

Arrest - Possession of Heroin, Cocaine, Bath Salts, and Narcotic

Date of Incident:  November 6, 2017
Defendant:  Thomas A. Chase II, 45, Chester, Vermont
On October 17, 2017 a motor vehicle stop was conducted for several motor vehicle violations. The vehicle was seized pending the application of a search warrant for suspicion of drug activity. Upon executing the warrant, a felony amount of heroin as well as misdemeanor amounts of cocaine, bath salts, and prescription narcotic pills were seized. 
Thomas Chase was later charged for the alleged possession and cited into Windsor County Criminal Court to appear on January 9, 2018.

Defendant:  Keith Destromp, 42 Springfield, Vermont


 On 10/27/2017 Keith Destromp was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on December 19th for allegedly operating a motor vehicle with a criminally suspended license. 

Arrest - DUI

Date of Incident:  November 1, 2017
Defendant:  Willliam P Ladue, 64, Vergennes, VT
Officers stopped to check on a disabled vehicle in the roadway and found that the operator was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
Ladue was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on November 21st to answer to the alleged charge.
