Summary of Incident:
Officer's responded to a residence on Bridge Street and located Melissa DiMartino who allegedly was wanted for two separate arrest warrants. A subsequent consensual search of DiMartino's purse allegedly produced a number of pills not prescribed to DiMartino.
DiMartion was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 8-6-2018 and 10-2-2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Arrested on Warrant and Possession of stimulant, depressant, narcotic. DiMartino was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility and ordered held without bail.

Summary of Incident: 
On above date and time, officers responded to Elm Hill for a report of a vehicle parked on a lawn with a female subject hollering and screaming. Investigation revealed that the defendant had allegedly operated the vehicle to the residence while under the influence of alcohol.
Francks was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on 8/21/18 to answer to the alleged charge(s).

Defendant:  Scott Capron, 45, Springfield, VT
                    Juvenile, 17, Springfield, VT
Summary of Incident: 
On June 5, 2018, a chainsaw was reported stolen. It was believed to be taken late in 2017 and just recently discovered. Investigation revealed that a juvenile allegedly stole the saw and traded it to Capron, who later sold it. 
The juvenile with be charged with petit larceny for allegedly taking the saw. Capron will be charged with possession/sale of stolen property for his role in the alleged crime.
Capron was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on October 2, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge.
Juvenile will be cited to appear in Windsor County Family Court on October 3, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge.

Arrest - Possession of Heroin

Defendant: Travis Barton, 36, Perkinsville VT Summary of Incident:
On 07/26/2018 Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on South Street. Travis Barton was allegedly a passenger in the vehicle. A search of the occupants and the vehicle was conducted. Travis was found to be in possession of suspected heroin. Travis was arrested and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. Travis was issued a citation for Possession of Heroin to appear at a later date.
Travis was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on September 18th, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Possession of Heroin.

Summary of Incident: On 07-31-2018 Springfield Police took a complaint of a subject who was allegedly possessing a firearm illegally. Upon investigation Matthew Baran was taken into custody for allegedly violating his conditions of release.
Baran was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on 08- 01-2018 at 1230 hours to answer to the alleged charge of violation of conditions of release. Baran was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash or surety bail.

Defendant:   Miles P. ODonnell age 29 of Cavendish, VT
Summary of Incident:
On July 26, 2018 at 0513 hours Ofc. Neily stopped a reported stolen vehicle on Orchard Lane in Springfield. ODonnell was a passenger in the vehicle. When asked to identify himself, he gave an alias name and date of birth. 
Once his true identity was learned, it was found that ODonnell had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to have appeared in court. ODonnell was placed under arrest on the warrant and lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility. He was issued a citation to appear at a later date for allegedly providing false information to police.

ODonnell was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on August 28, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of False Information to Law Enforcement. ODonnell was subsequently lodge at Southern State Correctional Facility on the outstanding arrest warrant and issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court reference the arrest warrant.

Summary of Incident: On 07-11-2018 Springfield Police attempted to stop a motorcycle for an alleged motor vehicle violation. 
Upon investigation Gerald Sargent was located and cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on September 18, 2018 at 0800 hours to answer to the alleged charges of negligent operation and excessive speed.
