Summary of Incident: On 10-16-2018 Springfield Police were dispatched to the Department of Probation and Parole for a subject with an alleged arrest warrant. Upon investigation Luis Rodriguez was taken into custody for allegedly being a fugitive from justice out of New Hampshire.
Rodriguez was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor on               10- 16-2018 to answer to the alleged charge of fugitive from justice and subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000.00 cash or surety bail.

Defendant:  Justin Farnsworth, 35, Springfield VT Summary of Incident:
On 10/07/2018 Officers made contact with Justin Farnsworth who was acting suspicious while leaving Jake's Market on Clinton Street. A search of Justin was conducted and items from the market were located that were allegedly stolen. Justin was issued a citation for Retail Theft appear at a later date.
Justin was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on December 4th, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Retail Theft.

Summary of Incident: Sargent was cited for allegedly being in possession of heroin. Lab testing confirmed the presence of fentanyl.
Sargent was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 12/4/18 to answer to the alleged charge.

Summary of Incident:
On 10-13-2018 Officers made contact with Jewel Breed. It was determined that Breed allegedly had an arrest warrant out of NH. Breed was taken into custody without incident.
Breed was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 10-15-2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Fugitive from Justice. Breed was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of 5000.00 cash or surety bail.

On 10-12-2018 Alvah Jones was seen walking on Main Street in Springfield, Vermont. It was established that Jones had an active warrant for his arrest. Jones was later taken into custody at his residence without incident.

Summary of Incident:
On October 8, 2018 staff at the Black River Kwik Stop, a gas station/convenience store, located on River Street, Springfield reported a theft that had occurred the previous day. Investigation, which included reviewing the store's surveillance video, found cause to charge Farnsworth with the alleged crime' of Retail Theft. He is accused of taking two small containers of wine, each valued at less than four ($4.00) dollars each.
Farnsworth was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on December 4, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Retail Theft.

Juvenile Citations - Unlawful Vandalism

Summary of Incident:
On 10/07/2018 at 1730 hours I was dispatched to the Elm Hill School located at 10 Hoover Street in Springfield, VT for the report of vandalism to the school. 
There was damage to the door security key pads and the screens to the windows of the school. 
Both of the juveniles were seen on security camera footage causing the damage. 
Both juveniles were cited to appear in Windsor County Family Court on 01/02/2019 to answer to the alleged charge of Unlawful Mischief.
