Arrest - Arrest on Warrant



Case Number:  17SF009860

Arresting Officer:  Officer Defelice

Date of Arrest:  October 19, 2017

Defendant:  Shawn Harper, 20, Springfield VT

Officers were dispatched to 104 park St on a welfare check.  During the investigation, contact was made with Harper who was arrested on an outstanding warrant which was issued when he failed to appear in court to answer to allegations of Felony Burglary into an Occupied Dwelling. 

Harper was taken into custody without incident and lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash or surety bail.

Arrest - Disorderly Conduct

Date of Offense:  October 13, 2017
Defendant:  Justin Fuller, 26, Springfield, Vermont
Officers responded to Wall Street for multiple reports of a heavily intoxicated male carrying bottle of OJ & Vodka walking in the roadway. 
Upon making contact with Fuller who fit the description, he allegedly began yelling and swearing in a residential area. He was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for medical clearance due to his alleged intoxication where he allegedly began yelling and swearing. 
Fuller was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility on a hold until BAC .000% and was arraigned on the alleged Disorderly charge on October 16th. 

Arrest - Driving While License Criminally Suspended

Date of Offense:  October 13, 2017
Defendant:  Alfred Rozumek, 20,  Springfield, Vermont
On 10-13-2017 at approximately 2320 hours a vehicle was stopped on Clinton Street for a minor traffic violation. The operator was identified as Alfred Rozumek. It was discovered that Rozumek's Vermont operators license was allegedly suspended criminally Rozumek was taken into custody, processed and released on a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on December 5th to answer to the alleged charge.

Arrest - Fugitive From Justice & Vermont State Warrant

Defendant:  Benjamin J. Gramling, 27, Cavendish, VT


Gramling was arrested on outstanding Vermont and New Hampshire Warrants. He was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Lieu of $5,000 bail on the VT warrant and $30,000 bail on the NH warrant.

Arrest - Disorderly Conduct

Date of Incident:  October 6, 2017
Defendant:  Cheryl Akalis, 57,  Holyoke, MA
Akalis called police for assistance as she was stranded in Springfield, Vermont. She allegedly began repeatedly hollering and swearing at a subject in the area, in close proximity to several houses. Akalis submitted to a preliminary breath test, indicating that she was heavily under the influence of alcohol. She was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $250 bail and hold until 0.000% BAC.
Akalis was arraigned on October 7th in Windsor County Criminal Court on the Disorderly Conduct allegation.

Arrest - Possession of Stimulant/Depressant/Narcotic Drugs

Date of Incident:  October 1, 2017
Defendant:  Bobbilee Penn, 32, Springfield, VT
Penn was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. Investigation revealed that she was in possession of controlled prescription pills and marijuana. She was issued a civil marijuana possession ticket and cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on November 21st for the alleged pill possession.

Date of Incident:  October 2, 2017
Defendant:  Lawrence Daniels, 28, New Hampshire
On October 2nd officers were called to the Holiday Inn Express for a report that persons were excessively loud and yelling at one another. On arrival Officers made contact with the occupants of the room and subsequently removed them from the property. 
One male identified as Lawrence Daniels had an active arrest warrant in Windsor County, Vermont. Daniels was taken into custody and lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $500.00 bail
