On July 14 & 19 the Springfield Police Dept allegedly observed Megan Machado driving on Fairground Rd. and Park St. and knew her license to be under criminal suspension. 
Upon investigation Machado was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor unit for the alledged Criminal DLS offenses.

On the evening of July 13, a 16 year old male reportedly punched an adult male in the head multiple times in front of a mercantile establishment located in the Springfield Plaza. 
The victim declined to file a complaint. The accused made a counter allegation, claiming that the victim had thrown a rock at him first. 
The accused also declined to file a complaint. Since this incident occurred in a public place while businesses were open, enforcement action was taken based on statements provided by store employees.
The juvenile was cited to appear on October 4th in Windsor County Family Court.

On June 16th Officers were made aware of an incident that allegedly took place at the office of Probation and Parole in Springfield VT. 
After an investigation Christopher Merritt was cited  to appear on September 19th for the alleged crime of Impeding a Public Officer.

Defendant:  Christopher Merrit, 35,  Springfield, Vermont
Officer's responded to Union Street for a report of a television being stolen. The victim reported that she had seen Christopher Merritt allegedly walking out of her house and down the street with her television which he allegedly had no right to. Merritt was located on Park Street and taken into custody.
Merritt was issued a citation to appear on September 12th to answer to the alleged charge.

On Tuesday, 07/25/2017 at approximately 08:19 hours, Springfield Police located Amanda R. Bateman at a residence on Main St. in North Springfield. 

Bateman was taken into custody without incident for the alleged offense of being a Fugitive from Justice. Bateman is wanted by the State of New Hampshire for the alleged offense of Possession of Cocaine. 

Bateman will appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 07/25/2017 at 12:30 PM to answer to this charge.

Defendant:  Raymond Berry, 48, North Springfield, Vermont

On the evening of July 25th, it was reported that Raymond Berry had allegedly rounded a sharp curve on Wall Street at an excessive rate of speed, causing a pedestrian to fear getting struck by his vehicle.

The vehicle was then allegedly observed traveling through a red light and across Main Street. Berry was subsequently located in North Springfield by Corporal Morancy, who was investigating a separate motor vehicle complaint. 

Investigation revealed reason to believe that the same vehicle and driver were involved in both complaints. Berry allegedly provided false information to investigating officers by claiming that someone else had been driving his car.

Berry was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on September 19 to answer to the alleged charges.

On Wednesday, 07/26/2017 at approximately 1:30 p.m.. Springfield Police responded to Morgan St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon further investigation, Gary S. Haberland was arrested without incident for the alleged offenses of Possession of Heroin and Possession of a Regulated Narcotic. 
Haberland will appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on September 12 to answer to these alleged offenses.

Defendant:  Robert Worrall, 24, Springfield, Vermont
On 06/30/2017 at approximately 1215 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor traffic violation. 
Robert Worrall was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and the occupants was conducted and Worrall was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected heroin. 
Worrall was arrested and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. Worrall was issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on July 3, 2017 to answer to the alleged charge of Possession of Heroin.

Police responded to Eureka Road for a report that Nourse was at his residence. It was known to police that Nourse was alleged to have a Warrant for his Arrest. 
Checks found that he allegedly had two such Warrant. Nourse was found hiding in the woods and was arrested for the alleged offenses.  Nourse was lodged at SSCF in lieu of $1200 cash or surety bail and cited to appear in court on July 3rd should be make bail.

On June 5th 2017 Officers were asked to respond to the Springfield High School for a report that a bus driver had been allegedly assaulted by a student. The student was later identified and contacted reference the alleged assault. The juvenile was cited to appear in Windsor Family Court at a later date.

Perkins was cited for the offense of Possession of a Regulated Narcotic. Perkins will appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on August 29 to answer to this charge.

On Wednesday, 07/05/2017 at approximately 2:57 p.m., Springfield Police located Cody A. Greenslit at a residence on Litchfield St. 
Greenslit was found to have an active warrant for his arrest, stemming from the alleged offenses of Sale of Heroin and Possession of Stolen Property. 
Greenslit was taken into custody without incident and was subsequently lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $2,500 bail.

Wisehart was taken into custody and processed for the alleged violation and subsequently lodged at SSCF on a Hold Until 0.000% BAC and was arraigned in Windsor County Criminal Court on July 11th.

Springfield Police attempted to stop a vehicle for an alleged motor vehicle violation. Upon investigation, Stephan Cota was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on August 15th for alleged offenses of negligent operation and attempting to elude.

On Sunday, 06/25/2017 at approximately 08:25 a.m., Springfield Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on River St. The operator of this vehicle was identified as Jonathan L. Jones. Through a subsequent investigation, it was found that Jones had allegedly violated an abuse prevention order by having contact with a female passenger, which was restricted per this abuse prevention order. 
Jones appeared at the Springfield Police Department on 06/27/2017 to be cited for this offense.  Jones was arraigned later this date.
