On June 23, 2018 at about 1938 hours, a report of teens trespassing behind the old J&L Factory was received by an officer on patrol. Investigation revealed two teens behind the building. They will be referred to the Springfield Restorative Justice Center.

On 06/27/2018 Officers made contact with a suspicious vehicle parked in the lot of the Penguin Mart. Terence Carr was allegedly a passenger in the vehicle. 

A search of the occupants and the vehicle was conducted. Carr was found to be in possession of suspected bath salts. Carr was arrested and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. 

Carr was issued a citation for Possession of a Controlled Substance to appear at a later date.
Carr was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on August 21st, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

While traveling on Vermont Route 11 Officers observed a vehicle leave the road way and drive across a lawn coming to rest in a parking lot. Contact was made with the operator who allegedly was under the influence of alcohol.
Pantoja was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on August 28th, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of DUI.

Defendant: Steven Morway (DOB 10/04/1988), Springfield Vermont
Summary of Incident: On 06/16/2018 Officers of the Springfield Police Department responded to the area of the Circle K Truck Stop for a report of an individual who may be intoxicated. While the Officers were en route, the caller advised that the individual in question went to the Holiday Inn. The caller advised that the individual was operating a Nissan Rogue bearing a New Hampshire registration. The investigation led the Officers to the room of Steven Morway, who was the registered owner of said vehicle. 
Officers met with Morway and after discussing the complaint with Morway, the officers were advised they could come in and look around. After a brief discussion with Morway, the Officers observed behavior indicative of heroin usage. After bringing this behavior to Morway's attention he advised that he had a little bit of heroin on him. Morway was allegedly found to be in possession of 90 bags of suspected heroin. Morway was arrested or the alleged possession of heroin, and transported to the Springfield Police Department to be processed.
Steven Morway was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, located in White River Junction, Vermont, on 8/07/2018 to answer to the alleged charges.

Summary of Incident: Officers were dispatched to the Springfield Mobil for a report of a disorderly man being aggressive to staff and customers. Upon arrival, staff alleged that Darling was the accused and they wished Letter of Trespass served on him. Officers located Darling on Elm Hill Road and allegedly viewed a large filet knife on his person. Darling allegedly had Conditions of Release which prohibited him from carrying knives.
Jonathan Darling/Gray (DOB 07-14-1972) was cited to appear in Windham County Criminal Court on June 18, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of VCOR. Gray/Darling was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $250.00 cash or surety bail.

On 06/14/2018 Officers made contact with Keith Destromp. During this contact, Keith was found to allegedly be in possession of suspected heroin. 
Destromp was arrested and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing and was was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on August 14th, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Possession of Heroin.

Summary of Incident: On 06/18/2018 Officers of the Springfield Police Department executed a warrant at the residence of Randy Holmes, located at 126 Randall Hill Rd, Rockingham, Vermont. 
During this warrant officers located a sophisticated marijuana grow, both inside the residence, and also on various locations on the outside wooded area. 
Officers located various paraphernalia related to heroin packaging and use along with paraphernalia related to marijuana use. This investigation is still ongoing.

On 06/14/2018 Officers were informed that Lawrence Daniels had an Active Arrest Warrant out of New Hampshire. Lawrence was seen in front of the State Office Building. Officers attempted to make contact with Lawrence. A short foot pursuit ensued and Lawrence was taken into custody. 

Lawrence was arrested and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. Lawrence was issued a citation for Fugitive From Justice to appear at a later date.

Lawrence was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on June 15th, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Fugitive From Justice. Lawrence was then lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in luau of $25,000 bail.

Summary of Incident: Springfield Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for an alleged minor motor vehicle infraction. Upon investigation Thomas Arbuckle was taken into custody on an active federal arrest warrant issued by the United States Marshal Service.
Arbuckle was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility with no bail.

On June 11, 2018 Officers were responding to a suspicious incident in North Springfield, Vermont. It was reported that the subjects allegedly involved left in a gray Chrysler 200 bearing VT registration HEB528. The vehicle passed by responding officers who were able to turn around and make contact with the vehicle and its operator. The operator was identified as Michael Merrill who is allegedly criminally suspended.
Merrill was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on August 7, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Driving While Criminally Suspended.

Investigation revealed that Gray was allegedly in violation of his court ordered conditions of release pertaining to check in and possession of weapons.
Gray was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on 6/11/18 to answer to the alleged charge(s) and subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $3000 cash or surety bail.

Summary of Incident:
On June 5, 2018 at 0800 hours Springfield Ambulance and Springfield Police responded to a Pearl Street residence for a report of an unresponsive male subject on the floor of an apartment. On arrival contact was made with the male, who was identified as Keith L. Gokey. 

Investigation found that Gokey was intoxicated. Further investigation found that he had made suicidal statements while in contact with a person he was prohibited from having contact with due to an active restraining order. 

He declined medical treatment. 

Gokey was taken into custody on the alleged violation of the restraining order. He was order held until sober and issued a citation for the violation of the abuse prevention order.
Keith L. Gokey was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on June 6, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Violation of an Abuse Prevention Order.

Summary of Incident:

On June 5, 2018 Officer Moriglioni was at 242 Town Farm Road, Springfield, Vermont on a different call for service. It is alleged that as he was walking back to his cruiser, he observed a female subject he knows at Jodi Crawford drive right by him, within feet of his location. 

Officer Moriglioni was able to quickly follow Crawford and allegedly saw her walking from the same vehicle that passed him. 

She was allegedly the only one in the vehicle. A check of her DMV record indicated she was criminally suspended.
Crawford was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on July 31, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of Driving While Criminally Suspended. .

Defendant: Justin Carpenter
Summary of Incident: 
On various occasions during the early part of April, Officers responded to the Shanghai Gardens on two separate days, The Springfield Moose Lodge, the Springfield Town Hall as well as a residence to investigate thefts from each. 
It is alleged that at one of the scenes there was some DNA evidence left, and from the larceny of the residence, there was a potential suspect. Given the proximity of the locations and the suspect's alleged location, he was notified. 
It is alleged that the subject agreed to speak with the police about the incident and allegedly provided a full confession and explicit details about his involvement in the above incidents.

Justin Carpenter was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on July 24, 2018 to answer to the alleged charge of four counts of Burglary and one count of Petit Larceny.

Summary of Incident: Martin allegedly was drinking a chocolate milk inside the Circle K at Exit 7, which he did not pay for. He was located a short distance away with a slim jim that he allegedly did not pay for either. He was charged with Retail Theft.
Martin was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on 7/17/18 to answer to the alleged charge.

Summary of Incident:
Springfield Police received a report of a possible drunk driver on Union Street. 
Caller gave a description of the vehicle and advised that someone threw a beer can out the window of the vehicle. Officers located and stopped the vehicle on Elm Hill Road. 
The operator, identified as James A. Currie of Springfield, VT, allegedly showed signs of impairment and road side sobriety tests were conducted. Currie was taken into custody for suspected DUI and processed at the Springfield Police Department. Currie also did not have a current driver's license and was issued a traffic ticket for allegedly driving without a license.

  Currie was cited to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on June 19, 2018 to answer to the alleged    
  charge of Driving Under the Influence.
