On March 21, 2017, the Springfield Police Department responded to a report of a family dog
being injured in the driveway of the home on Fairground Road in Springfield.
The incident happened at about 1:30 PM. It is believed that the dog may have been struck by
a car, which then left the area.
It is unknown if this was intentional or accidental, or if the operator of the vehicle was aware of the incident. The dog is currently recovering from severe injuries.
