Attempted Escape

Defendant: Joshua Morse, 27, Bellows Falls, VT
On May 4, 2017 Morse was at the Vermont Department of Corrections Probation & Parole Springfield office. Morse was informed by probation & parole officers that he had violated his furlough and was being returned to jail.
Morse told officers that he was not going back to jail and attempted to leave the
Probation & Parole office. Officers were able to subdue and restrain Morse and he was returned
to jail by probation & parole officers.
Probation & Parole made the report of Morse's attempted escape to law
enforcement, Springfield Police.
Morse was
issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on June 20, 2017 to answer to the
allegation of Attempted Escape.
