Arrest - Negligent Operation & False Information

Negligent Operation
False Information
Case Number:  17SF006595
Investigating Officer: Sgt Molgano
Date of Incident:  July 25, 2017
Defendant:  Raymond Berry, 48, North Springfield, Vermont

On the evening of July 25th, it was reported that Raymond Berry had allegedly rounded a sharp curve on Wall Street at an excessive rate of speed, causing a pedestrian to fear getting struck by his vehicle.

The vehicle was then allegedly observed traveling through a red light and across Main Street. Berry was subsequently located in North Springfield by Corporal Morancy, who was investigating a separate motor vehicle complaint.

Investigation revealed reason to believe that the same vehicle and driver were involved in both complaints. Berry allegedly provided false information to investigating officers by claiming that someone else had been driving his car.

Berry was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on September 19 to answer to the alleged charges.
