Arrest - Possession of Heroin

Defendant: Steven Morway (DOB 10/04/1988), Springfield Vermont

Summary of Incident: 

On 06/16/2018 Officers of the Springfield Police Department responded to the area of the Circle K Truck Stop for a report of an individual who may be intoxicated. While the Officers were en route, the caller advised that the individual in question went to the Holiday Inn. 

The caller advised that the individual was operating a Nissan Rogue bearing a New Hampshire registration. The investigation led the Officers to the room of Steven Morway, who was the registered owner of said vehicle. 

Officers met with Morway and after discussing the complaint with Morway, the officers were advised they could come in and look around. After a brief discussion with Morway, the Officers observations of Morway's behavior which were indicative of heroin usage, it was brought to his attention, and he advised he had a little bit of heroin on him. Morway allegedly was found to be in possession of 90 bags of suspected heroin. 

Morway was arrested for the alleged possession of heroin, and transported to the Springfield Police Department to be processed.

Steven Morway was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, located in White River Junction, Vermont, on 8/07/2018 to answer to the alleged charges.
