In October 2017, the Springfield Police Department was notified of a
theft of a Special Olympics donation can from a local convenience store. Elliot Watkins was allegedly
identified as the thief. Watkins was
located in February 2018 and cited for Petit Larceny. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal
Division, Windsor Unit on 4/3/18.
