Summary of Incident:
Springfield Police and Chester Police received
multiple reports of a male in the middle of VT T 10 near the Springfield/Chester town line accosting passing
vehicles. Officers located the
subject on Main Street, North Springfield, just off of VT RT 10.
When officers attempted to make contact with the
subject he became belligerent and combative
then running away from officers. Once located he resisted arrest and attempted to kick officers. Subject was identified
as James A. Dyer Jr.
Dyer was cited to appear in Windsor Country
Criminal Court on Monday March 5, 2018 to
answer to the alleged charge(s) of Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest and Attempted Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. He
was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in on
conditions of release and a hold until sober order.
