Summary of Incident:
On 09/03/18 at approximately 0043 hours
Springfield Police received a report of suspected child abuse from Springfield
Hospital. It was reported that a juvenile was being treated for injuries received from an alleged assault.
Investigation found that at approximately
2300 hours on 09/02/18 the juvenile was allegedly assaulted by Winter at a residence in Springfield, VT.
The assault is
alleged to have involved a weapon, a baseball
bat. Winter was subsequently arrested later in the early morning hours of 09/03/18.
Winter was cited
to appear in Windsor Country Criminal Court on 09/04/18 to answer to the
alleged charge of Aggravated Domestic Assault and subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility without bail.
